





File Manager - May be used in place of FTP or HTML editors to:
Upload Files The File Manager may be used in place of FTP to upload files from your computer to your hosting account. All files must go into your public_html folder.
1) Find the link "public_html" and click on it
2) then click it's folder to see the files
3) then click on the Upload file(s) link
4) click on the Browse buttons to find files
5) click "Upload" to copy the files to your website
Create/ Edit/ Delete Files To create a file:
1) click on the Create New File link
2) in the upper right enter a name for the file
3) choose what kind of a file you are creating
4) click the "Create" button
5) now click on the file you just created to display more options:
Show File - opens up the file to preview
Delete File - moves the file into the Trash bin
Edit File - Displays the HTML code for the file which can then be altered and saved as the new version.
Change Permissions set chmod values for read / write / execute
Rename File - use to rename
Copy File - use to copy the file to another location on your site
Move File - use to move the file to another location on your site
HTML Editor Learn to use Cpanel's Free HTML Editor
HTML Editor opens up our Free Web Page Editor to allow easy editing of web pages - simple to use, and very powerful. Here are the 3 Modes:
Design - opens up the file to edit in visual mode, using MS Word style of interface. You can add / change text, fonts, size, color, bold, italics, center, add tables, images, create links, and much more. To save your new version click (Save) - No FTP Needed!
HTML Code - allows you to view / edit the HTML code directly
Preview - opens up the page in a Web Browser Interface, so you can check your work before saving.
File Url - displays the full address of that file to preview in your browser





Note: File Manager is great for people that don't have experience with HTML and FTP. You may also consider using a separate HTML Editor like Dreamweaver, Adobe GoLive, or MS FrontPage to create and edit your web pages.
